The Operational Readiness Coordinator is a person who ensures that the Lithuanian Red Cross is ready to act in times of crisis or emergency: volunteers know what to do, the necessary equipment is prepared and available, and operational capabilities are constantly strengthened.
In this position, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating operational readiness, managing inventory and equipment, preparing for exercises, and participating in response activities according to your competence.
You can work in any city in Lithuania.

- Coordinate the operational readiness of Emergency Preparedness Volunteers – plan and organize preparedness activities, exercises and other actions that help volunteers prepare for responding to crises and emergencies;
- Be the main practical contact for volunteers on operational readiness issues – advise, help solve emerging difficulties and ensure that volunteers have clear information and practical assistance;
- Take care of equipment and tools for volunteers – ensure that they are safe, usable, ready and easily accessible when needed;
- Organize and coordinate exercises – ensure that volunteers and the resources they need are properly prepared and participate in real response activities according to their competence;
- Contribute to strengthening the volunteer team – participate in the selection of new volunteers, assess their readiness and suitability for this activity;
- Coordinate operational preparedness activities and resources, ensuring that the Lithuanian Red Cross is ready to act when help is needed most;
- In the event of a crisis or emergency, respond promptly and work outside normal working hours if necessary.
We need you, if you will
- You have a university or higher education
- You have at least 2 years of experience in the fields of logistics, operations management, civil protection, project or volunteer coordination;
- You know the principles of inventory management, accounting and inventorying and are able to plan the need for material resources;
- You are able to apply the principles of civil protection, emergency response and operational preparedness in practice;
- You are fluent in Lithuanian and English;
- You have a category B driver's license;
- You are able to work and cooperate with different groups of people, especially volunteers;
- You react quickly, make decisions and adapt to changing circumstances;
- You are independent, responsible and are able to plan your activities and set priorities.
