About the position:

We are looking for a Head of Educational Support to join our team and together create an environment where every child receives the support they need to grow, learn and develop.
In this position, you will be responsible for the development, coordination and quality assurance of the educational support and inclusive education system across the entire organization. Your role will include organizing educational support, ensuring that decisions are implemented consistently, responsibly and in accordance with applicable legislation.

Main responsibilities:

  • To develop, implement and continuously improve the educational assistance system within the organization's network, ensuring its compliance with legal acts, internal procedures and the application of uniform inclusive education practices in all departments.
  • To coordinate the identification of educational assistance needs for students and the timely organization of educational assistance.
  • To ensure the adaptation of educational content, methods and assessment to students with special educational needs, providing methodological assistance to teachers and managers.
  • To organize and coordinate the coordination of individual assistance plans with parents (guardians), ensuring clear, timely and documented communication and cooperation with external institutions.
  • To ensure the functioning of violence and bullying prevention and intervention implementation systems, coordinate the implementation of preventive programs.
  • To ensure the functioning of Child Welfare Commissions and crisis management within the organization's network, coordinate their organization and implementation in departments.
  • Coordinate the development, implementation and integration of social and emotional competence and life skills programmes into the educational process across the entire organisation.
  • Organise assessments of the emotional and social climate of students and staff, analyse the results and provide data-based insights and suggestions to management and departments.
  • Identify and justify the need for educational support specialists, services and tools, participate in planning the allocation of resources and provide suggestions on the scope of additional assistance and pricing logic.
  • Ensure that all educational support decisions, actions and educational assistance provided are properly documented, comply with data protection requirements and are traceable.
  • Lead a team of educational support specialists, coordinate their work, ensure the quality of services, growth of competences and regular reporting to management.

Requirements:

  • Higher education in the field of educational assistance.
  • At least 3 years of experience in organizing educational assistance.
  • Knowledge of education, children's rights and related legal acts of the Republic of Lithuania.
  • Knowledge of the inclusive education and educational assistance provision system.
  • Ability to make informed decisions in stressful situations, respond promptly to challenges and mobilize specialists from different fields for a common goal.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Ability to work with sensitive information and ensure data protection.
  • Knowledge of Lithuanian (C1), English is an advantage.
  • Motivation to contribute to the creation and strengthening of a high-quality educational assistance system.
