We will entrust you with:

  • to mobilize and develop a results-oriented team of highly competent economists, ensuring the effective work of the department;
  • to assess and communicate the monetary policy decisions of the European Central Bank and their impact on the Lithuanian economy;
  • to form the positions of the Bank of Lithuania on monetary policy issues in the ECB Governing Council and the ESCB Monetary Policy Committee;
  • to carry out analytical projects and research in the field of contemporary monetary policy, in order to assess monetary policy issues and their economic impact;
  • to represent the Bank of Lithuania in the ESCB or other Lithuanian and international committees, working, expert or task groups on the impact of ECB monetary policy, contributing to the Eurosystem's preparation for monetary policy decisions.

What we expect from you:

  • higher university education in the field of social sciences (economics or finance);
  • experience in leading a team;
  • good understanding of the monetary policy issues of the ECB and other major central banks in the world;
  • understanding of the activities of the ESCB, the Eurosystem, the EU and international financial institutions and experience of international representation in preparing institutional positions;
  • ability to speak publicly and express thoughts fluently both orally and in writing in Lithuanian and English;
  • professionalism, stress resistance, flexibility and ability to constructively solve complex situations.

  • competitive salary, depending on your competencies and experience. DU range: 5520 – 7590 EUR (gross);
  • flexibility of working hours and location (hybrid work model), health insurance, 6 additional days off per year, budget for training.
