Nature of work
- Ensuring raw material supply: Organize and manage the continuous supply of roundwood to the factory in Kurkliai and the newly built factory in Jonava.
- Stock management: Ensure that production units always have the required amount of wood, optimizing warehouse stocks.
- Active supplier search: Actively search for new suppliers, work with wood carriers and logging companies throughout Lithuania.
- Auctions: Prepare for and participate in state wood purchase auctions.
- Negotiations and figures: Analyze the wood market, forecast prices and negotiate to achieve the best conditions for the company.
- Contract management: Prepare wood purchase contracts, ensure their legal and technical compliance with company standards.
- Nurture relationships: Maintain long-term, professional and mutually trusting relationships with existing partners.
- Other purchases: Organize other types of purchases as needed, in cooperation with colleagues.
Employee requirements
- Excellent knowledge of the Lithuanian timber market and its specifics (assortments, quality requirements, pricing).
- Proactivity: you do not wait for calls, but you form a network of suppliers yourself.
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to quickly calculate during negotiations (mathematical literacy is essential).
- Communication skills: you are able to remain professional, correct and businesslike even in the most stressful situations.
- You are knowledgeable about the legal side of concluding contracts.
- You have experience working with transport logistics (timber carriers).
