WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
As a Procurement Manager at UAB Rheinmetall Defence Lietuva, your daily tasks will include:
- Executing indirect materials and services procurement (IT, logistics, external services, equipment, etc.)
- Executing direct materials procurement for production (raw materials, components, technical parts)
- Active search, evaluation and engagement of suppliers, and search for alternative sources of supply
- Executing RFQs (requests for quotations), organizing tenders and evaluating commercial offers
- Negotiating with suppliers on contracts, prices and other commercial terms
- Creating and administering purchase orders and documentation in the ERP system
- Ensuring timely delivery of goods and services by actively tracking ongoing orders and resolving supply-related issues
- Monitoring and evaluating supplier performance
- Identifying and implementing opportunities for cost reduction and avoidance, continuously optimizing procurement costs
- Close cooperation with internal departments to identify technical and commercial needs and ensure timely procurement execution
- Ensuring compliance with internal procurement processes
WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU:
- Higher education in business administration, engineering, supply chain management, economics or similar field
- At least 2 years of professional experience in procurement
- Good working skills in MS Office
- Experience with SAP would be an advantage
- Good understanding of processes, organization, flexibility and ability to plan time in a structured way
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Ability to work in an organized manner and solve problems effectively
- Analytical thinking, ability to assess costs and identify ways to optimize them
- Excellent knowledge of Lithuanian and good knowledge of English, both spoken and written
