The height-adjustable desks, ergonomic chairs and workplace accessories we create at Desktronic are found in real homes and offices across Europe – and now in the US market. Your work doesn’t stop at concepts, prototypes – you’ll see it in production and then with customers. We’re growing fast and the list of projects is never-ending. What will you do:
- From concept to production-ready design – tables, chairs, accessories will be your responsibility.
- Perform FEA and structural validation – deformation, lateral stiffness, loads.
- Ensure certification according to EN 527-2, EN 1335, ANSI/BIFMA and other standards.
- Manage rapid prototyping with internal and external partners.
- Prepare full CAD packages – 3D models, 2D drawings, BOM.
- Work directly with manufacturing partners in Asia and Europe on DFM, production tools, pricing.
What we are looking for:
- 3+ years of experience with physical products – furniture, home appliances, electromechanical or other consumer products.
- Experience with mass production and its methods – from preparation of production tools to serial production.
- FEA experience is an essential part of this job.
- Knowledge of SOLIDWORKS or similar CAD program.
- Ability to critically read a DFM report and dispute it when necessary.
Advantages (not necessary, but we will appreciate it):
- Furniture engineering experience.
- Experience working with suppliers in Asia.
- Broad range of materials – steel, aluminum, MFC/solid wood, plastics, upholstery.
- BIFMA or EN certification experience.
- Experience with motorized/electromechanical products.
