About us:
The IT department of UAB "Agrokoncerno grupė" invites an IT professional to join its team. We are looking for a software systems architect who not only shapes the architecture, but also programs himself. You will determine the direction of the company's information systems architecture and personally implement the most complex, highest-risk parts of the solution. A real challenge awaits you - the transformation of "legacy" systems into a coherent, maintainable and secure whole.
What are you going to do:
- You will determine and support the direction of the information systems architecture and technology choices
- You will design the architecture of new systems, modules and integrations, prepare solution options
- You will apply AI tools throughout the development cycle: programming, preparing documentation, creating and maintaining tests
- You will provide safe and effective use of AI tools in the team: tool selection, application limits and best practices
- You will personally program the most complex and highest-risk parts of the solution
- You will lead the transformation and migration stages of existing (legacy) systems
- You will evaluate and approve programmers' solutions that have cross-system or architectural impact
- You will define non-functional requirements
- You will maintain a register of technical debt and propose a priority for its reduction
- You will document architectural decisions and their reasons, systematically share knowledge with the team
- You will be the point of technical escalation when engineers get stuck or an incident requires an architectural solution
We hope:
- Long-term (at least 7 years) practical experience in developing application systems, including at least 2 years in making architectural decisions
- Deep PHP experience, ideally with Symfony
- Architectural decision documentation practice
- Experience in transforming existing (legacy) systems, including the Strangler-Fig method
- Experience in designing multi-system integrations: interfaces, versioning, fault tolerance
- Knowledge of data modeling, database performance and migration
- Understanding of security architecture: authentication, access control, secret storage, secure development practices
- Excellent knowledge of Lithuanian, daily work with business users and documentation is done in Lithuanian
- Good oral and written English
We will consider advantages:

- Knowledge of other languages (Python, Java, JavaScript)
- Experience in optimizing system performance
- Experience in applying AI tools or desire to grow in this direction
