About us:
The IT department of UAB "Agrokoncerno grupė" invites an IT professional to join its team. We are looking for a software systems engineer who will be responsible for the assigned information systems from the selection of a technical solution to its release and operation in a production environment. You will work with a clear project management structure according to the established software development cycle. The systems are real and used every day, so you will see the result of your work directly.
During work you:
- You will apply AI tools throughout the development cycle: programming, preparing documentation, testing and maintaining systems;
- You will develop, improve and modify the functionality of assigned information systems according to agreed requirements - both backend logic and user interfaces;
- You will prepare technical solution options and coordinate them with the architect when the change has a cross-system impact;
- You will participate in work planning: you will assess the scope, indicate technical dependencies and risks;
- You will write unit and integration tests for your code, ensure their operation in the CI/CD chain;
- You will conduct peer code reviews and provide reasonable comments;
- You will deploy changes through an agreed release chain with a description of deployment and recovery actions;
- You will analyze and troubleshoot production environment incidents in your area of responsibility;
- Document solutions, interfaces and system operation logic in a common knowledge base;
- You will carry out technical debt reduction and technology renewal work;
- You will apply engineering standards and best practices developed by the team.
We expect from you:
- At least 3 years of software development experience and ability to independently implement medium-scale work;
- Deep PHP experience, ideally with Symfony;
- TypeScript / JavaScript experience in developing user interfaces, ideally with React / Vue / Angular;
- Experience with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL), data modeling and query optimization;
- Knowledge of Git, branch management and code review practices;
- Experience in developing integrations: REST, SOAP interfaces, JSON, XML formats;
- Understanding of unit and integration testing practices and CI/CD chains;
- Excellent knowledge of the Lithuanian language, daily work with business users and documentation is carried out in Lithuanian;
- Good oral and written English.
We will consider the following as an advantage:
- Experience with message queues or event streams;
- Knowledge of other languages (Python, Java);
- Agile and Scrum work experience;
- Experience in applying AI tools in development or a desire to grow in this direction.
