What you will be doing

You will be a part of a professional team within SEB Group CRO organization that ensures quality of models used for measuring credit risk. We conduct in-depth reviews of models by assessing model design, methodologies, statistical performance, data quality, implementation, regulatory compliance, and usage. We are provide insights and recommendations to the SEB Group CRO management as well as are closely working with the model developers, owners, users, and other key stakeholders.

As a Quantitative Data Analyst, your primary focus will be on data analysis and interpretation, model evaluation from both quantitative and qualitative perspectives, and contributing to the development of model validation frameworks and automation initiatives. You will perform independent validations of credit risk models, assessing design, methodology, assumptions, implementation, performance, and monitoring processes. You'll have opportunities to suggest improvements to existing validation tools and will be empowered to introduce new approaches, methodologies, and automation solutions that drive innovation and efficiency in risk model validation. Work is organized in small, project-driven teams within a fast-paced and supportive environment that encourages creativity, autonomy, continuous learning, and professional growth.

The team is located in Vilnius, but you will work in close interaction with the experienced professionals in SEB Group CRO organization across Nordic and Baltic countries.

As a Quantitative Analyst, you will be responsible for:

  • Perform model testing from both quantitative and qualitative perspectives, ensuring thorough assessment of model accuracy, stability, and regulatory compliance.
  • Independently assess risk model design, assumptions, methodology, and implementation, identifying potential weaknesses and areas for enhancement.
  • Interpret and communicate validation results, conclusions, and recommendations to model owners.
  • Act as a trusted partner to stakeholders by challenging model risks.
  • Monitor emerging regulatory requirements, industry best practices, and methodological developments, ensuring alignment of validation activities with internal and external expectations.
  • Supporting SEB Group CRO organization in risk measurement-related high-scale projects, as part of a collaborative team.

Who we are looking for:

  • Experience in quantitative risk models, statistical methodologies, and model validation activities, with the ability to deliver high-quality analytical assessments.
  • Experience in programming and data analysis tools such as Python, R, SAS, SQL, or equivalent.
  • Ability to translate complex quantitative findings into clear and concise messages.
  • Experience in the development, testing, or analysis of risk measurement models across one or more risk types (credit, market, liquidity, capital, stress testing, IFRS 9, IRB, etc.) would be considered as advantage.
  • An academic background in statistics, mathematics, data science, econometrics, physics, engineering, or a related field.
  • Proactive and constructive team player, ready to share experience and ideas.
  • Good writing and communication skills (English is the main working language).

Salary

3750-5650 €/mon. gross
The above indicated range is the monthly salary range for this position before tax deduction.
The final offer will depend on the experience and competencies of the selected candidate. Overall remuneration package consists of the salary together with other benefits.
