Main responsibilities:
- Ensure an effective risk management system and its implementation, maintenance and ongoing supervision within the group of companies
- Form and maintain an appropriate risk appetite system and limits
- Provide regular risk reports to the management and the board
- Participate in the activities of the board and committees, provide independent risk assessment and expert opinion
- Represent companies and provide information to the Bank of Lithuania and other supervisory authorities on risk management issues
- Ensure an operational risk management system: processes, controls, incident registration and management
- Oversee the analysis of significant incidents and ensure the implementation of appropriate corrective measures
- Ensure an effective credit risk management system and provide recommendations for its improvement
- Ensure an outsourcing risk management system and third-party risk monitoring
- Promote a strong risk management culture throughout the organization; organize training and raise employee awareness
- Consult business units on risk management issues, ensuring effective cooperation between the first and second lines of defense
Requirements:
- Higher education in finance, mathematics, statistics, risk management or a closely related field Professional certifications (FRM, PRM, CFA or similar) are an advantage
- Experience working as a risk management officer, risk management specialist, outsourcing risk management officer or similar position in an electronic money institution, payment institution, bank or fintech sector
- Deep understanding of operational, credit and financial risks and control mechanisms Understanding of regulatory requirements and expectations of supervisory authorities Knowledge of risk management standards and frameworks (COSO, ISO 31000 or similar)
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills; ability to make informed decisions under uncertainty
- Clear and persuasive communication – ability to present complex risk issues to the board, regulators and non-technical stakeholders
- Independence, initiative and ability to manage multiple business priorities simultaneously
- Lithuanian – native or advanced level (C1+), required for regulatory communication
- English – advanced level (B2+), required for international reporting and documentation
