Nature of work
- Open the warehouse daily, check the condition of the premises, and close and lock the warehouse at the end of the working day.
- Plan daily tasks and allocate priority work to warehouse employees.
- Receive and issue scrap metal, weigh it accurately.
- Evaluate the type, composition and quality of the scrap metal received, inform management about the results.
- Enter weighing and accounting data into the cloud system.
- Sort scrap metal in more complex cases, when there is a shortage of workers or when the cargo is urgent.
- Perform loading and warehousing work with a forklift and telescopic handler (Manitou).
- Drive a truck on the company's territory: rearrange transport, unload scrap metal from the containers brought in.
- Order sea containers from carriers according to daily needs, coordinate their arrival and departure.
- Maintain contact with management and customers, be available on work issues.
- Ensure that urgent tasks are completed on time.
- Provide suggestions to management on improving work organization
Employee requirements
- Knowledge of scrap metal: type recognition, composition and quality assessment.
- Experience working with a forklift or telescopic handler.
- Experience driving a truck or good understanding of how to operate it.
- Computer and cloud skills.
- Reliability, responsibility, accuracy, ability to lead a team.
- Independence, ability to express an opinion in a reasoned manner and discuss with management.
- Readiness to work longer hours if necessary to complete urgent tasks
