Nature of work

Charity and support foundation "Food Bank" - one of the largest non-governmental organizations in Lithuania. The main goal of our activities is to save as much usable food as possible from being thrown away and to give it to those in need. This job offer is intended for those who are looking for meaning in their daily activities and are not afraid of challenges!

"Food Bank" Kaunas branch is expanding its activities and invites an energetic volunteer coordinator who believes in the idea of volunteer work to join its team.

Volunteer coordinators:
  • mobilize volunteer teams for "Food Bank" activities (help in the warehouse, at food distribution, driving);
  • conduct training for volunteers;
  • take care of attracting and motivating volunteers;
  • organize volunteer events, take care of a community atmosphere;
  • represent "Food Bank" Kaunas branch at volunteer events and meetings;
  • keeps records of volunteers' working hours, manages documents (contracts, social hour certificates)

Working hours: Mon-Fri, 8 am-5 pm

You will do well in this job if you:

  • you understand that working with people requires perseverance, patience, effective communication, empathy and a lot of energy;
  • you take a responsible approach to work and are able to independently organize your activities;
  • you are not afraid of public speaking;
  • you quickly orient yourself and adapt to changing circumstances;
  • you are fluent in computer skills (MS Office, Google Apps);
  • you speak English (an advantage);
  • you have experience in volunteer work, working with volunteers or working in human resources management;
