The Bank of Lithuania is moving to the next stage of data management maturity – a unified semantic layer is being created, ensuring data quality, integrity and interlinkability (semantic interoperability and linkability).

You will be responsible for:

Creation and development of semantic architecture:

  • you will design and maintain the semantic model of the organization, ensuring unified terminology, clear definitions of concepts and data linkability;
  • you will create and maintain a unified data dictionary integrated with the data catalog and master and reference data management solutions.

Semantic compatibility and standardization:

  • you will ensure semantic interoperability between data sets, systems and processes;
  • you will design and implement semantic layer solutions using open source technologies (ontology management, metadata modeling, taxonomies) and aligning them with European standards (e.g. BIRD, IReF, etc.).

Data Governance and Organizational Integration:

  • you will develop and implement data governance principles, methodologies and rules related to semantic modeling and terminology management;
  • you will initiate solutions to increase data accessibility, ensuring that data is easily found, understood and reused;
  • you will collaborate with data teams and data users across the organization, consulting on semantic modeling and integration issues.

What we expect from you:

  • you have a higher university education in computer science, information systems, mathematics or another related field;
  • you have at least 2 years of experience in data modeling, data architecture or related solution design;
  • you have developed logical or conceptual data models at the organizational or complex solution level;
  • you are familiar with the principles of semantic interoperability, data dictionary creation, taxonomies, ontologies and metadata standards;
  • you have a good understanding of data governance principles and practices (experience in implementing Data Mesh architecture is an advantage);
  • you have experience in implementing or developing data catalog, master and reference data management or similar solutions is an advantage;
  • you have excellent technical English (cooperation with international partners);
  • you are able to think systematically, analyze complex structures and clearly justify the decisions you make;
  • you are proactive, meticulous, responsible and focused on long-term quality;
  • you have strong collaboration, communication and problem-solving skills;
  • you strive for continuous improvement and deepening of professional competences.

  • a fixed-term employment contract for up to 1.5 years;
  • a competitive salary depending on your competences and experience. DU range: 3496 - 5244 Eur (gross);
