Job description

At Bankera, we are doing our best to ensure that our employees receive reliable and accurate financial information, as well as making sure that all the internal accounting procedures works properly. We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting regulations. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to the financial health and stability of our organization.

You should find interesting to:

  • Executing payroll process from data entry to final payment, included all related reports VMI, Sodra, etc.
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
  • Process expense reports and assist with financial tracking of local sub-contractors and fixed price contracts as needed
  • Handle vendors’ and suppliers’ accounts including invoices, general ledger maintenance, journal entries and account reconciliation
  • Summarize current financial status by collecting information, preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
  • Prepare tax returns, payments, necessary paperwork, and reports for direct and indirect tax filings
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities
  • Analyze financial data to provide actionable insights and recommendations to senior management for informed decision-making
  • Take charge of the organization's financial operations, including budgeting, financial reporting, and compliance

We would love you to have:

  • Proficiency in Excel
  • Knowledge of legal acts of the Republic of Lithuania regulating accounting, taxes, companies' activities
  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field
  • Proficiency in accounting software. Experience with accounting software "Finvalda" would be a plus
  • Fluency in English
  • Strong 3+ years of professional experience in the field of accounting
  • Detail orientation and thoroughness
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
