Key Responsibilities

  • Manage purchase invoices in NAV, including allocation to appropriate GL accounts, dimensions and cost centers.
  • Reconcile purchase invoices and supplier balances with the GL, specifications and supporting documentation.
  • Match and reconcile supplier and buyer balances, including control of offsetting transactions.
  • Account for accrued expenses, accrued revenues, deferred expenses and deposits, including preparation and control of supporting specifications.
  • Manage fixed asset accounting, including acquisitions, capitalization, depreciation, disposals, transfers and reconciliation of the fixed asset register with the GL.
  • Prepare and execute monthly and quarterly closing procedures.
  • Coordinate month-end and year-end closing activities within the accounting team.
  • Control the GL and balance sheet to ensure completeness and accuracy of accounting records.
  • Participate in annual and other audit processes.
  • Prepare documents, balance sheet reconciliations, specifications and other information required by auditors.

NAV / ERP
  • Work with the NAV system on a daily basis.
  • Identify requirements for new GL accounts and dimensions and create them in accordance with established procedures.
  • Manage accounting periods and provide support during year-end closing.
  • Support the resolution of NAV and accounting system-related issues.
  • Participate in improving accounting processes and system solutions.
  • Support the maintenance of accurate and efficient accounting system settings and processes.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 2–5 years of relevant accounting experience, depending on the candidate’s experience and competencies.
  • Experience in purchase invoice processing and supplier reconciliations.
  • Experience with month-end close and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Understanding of accruals, prepayments, deferred expenses, deposits and other period-end accounting entries.
  • Experience in fixed asset accounting would be an advantage.
  • Experience with NAV / Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central would be a strong advantage.
  • Good understanding of IFRS and local accounting requirements.
