We're building a new, modern data platform — scalable, seamlessly integrated across systems, and designed to turn data into a self-service, 'speak to your data' experience.
We're looking for a Senior BI Data Analyst to turn well-governed data into clear insight and decision-ready reporting across the business. You'll work across a modern data stack — including Microsoft SQL Server, Snowflake, Power BI, Apache Airflow, and GIT — with AI-assisted development support via Claude, partnering closely with our data engineering team to shape what gets modeled, reported, and delivered to the business.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain BI dashboards, reports, and self-service analytics solutions on top of our MS SQL and Snowflake environments.
- Translate business questions into data models, metrics, and visualizations that are accurate, intuitive, and reusable.
- Partner with data engineers to define requirements for the semantic/analytics layer, ensuring datasets are structured for reliable reporting.
- Write and optimize complex SQL queries for analysis, validation, and ad hoc business questions.
- Define and maintain key business metrics, KPI definitions, and a single source of truth across reporting tools (Power BI).
- Ensure data quality, consistency, and traceability in reports through validation checks and reconciliation with source systems.
- Maintain version-controlled reporting logic and documentation using Git, following review best practices.
- Collaborate with business and IT teams, gathering requirements and presenting findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Support data security, access management, and GDPR-aligned governance practices in reporting and dashboards.
- Prepare optimized, reliable datasets and visualizations for analytics, reporting, and AI-driven analytical solutions.
- Use AI-assisted tools to accelerate analysis, documentation, and dashboard development.
- Participate in technical design reviews and propose improvements to reporting architecture and data visualization standards.
- Mentor and support the technical growth of junior/mid-level analysts.
What We Expect from You
- A university degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- 4+ years of experience in business intelligence, data analysis, or analytics engineering.
- Strong SQL skills, with hands-on experience in (complex queries, performance-aware query writing).
- Experience with cloud data warehousing, ideally Snowflake.
- Hands-on experience building dashboards and reports in Power BI, Tableau, or a comparable BI tool.
- Familiarity with ETL/ELT pipelines and orchestration tools such as Apache Airflow, and how they feed downstream reporting.
- Proficiency with Git for version control and collaborative development.
- Working knowledge of Python or another scripting language for data analysis and automation is a plus.
- Understanding of data warehouse and analytics architecture, including layered ("medallion"-style) data processing approaches.
- Experience ensuring data quality, accuracy, and reliability across test and production reporting environments.
- Comfort working with AI-assisted tools (e.g. Claude) as part of the analytics workflow.
- Ability to collaborate across teams, communicating insights clearly to both technical and business stakeholders.
- Independence, sense of ownership, and initiative in identifying and proposing analytical improvements.
- Experience mentoring or supporting less experienced analysts is a plus.
