Job description
As a Senior Node.js Developer (m/f/d), you will design and build scalable backend services that power our payment platform. Working with modern cloud technologies, event-driven architectures and AWS, you will develop secure, high-performance solutions while actively contributing to architectural decisions and the continuous evolution of our platform.
ALZURA Pay is part of the ALZURA Group, a German technology company with more than 20 years of experience in developing innovative digital solutions for businesses across Europe.
As part of our continued growth, we are currently establishing ALZURA Pay UAB in Lithuania and building a new development team in Vilnius. This is a unique opportunity to join us at an early stage and play a key role in shaping both our engineering organization and the future of our payment platform.
What you’ll do:
ALZURA Pay is part of the ALZURA Group, a German technology company with more than 20 years of experience in developing innovative digital solutions for businesses across Europe.
As part of our continued growth, we are currently establishing ALZURA Pay UAB in Lithuania and building a new development team in Vilnius. This is a unique opportunity to join us at an early stage and play a key role in shaping both our engineering organization and the future of our payment platform.
What you’ll do:
- Professional software development using Node.js, JavaScript, TypeScript, PostgreSQL, Redis, Docker, AWS (Lambda, API Gateway, S3, SQS, SAM), REST APIs, and event-driven architectures
- AI supported development process with Claude
- Active shaping of the software architecture and contributions to design decisions
- Developing, testing, and documenting the planned functionality
- Working in a small, self-reliant Scrum team
- Documentation of planning and implementation processes in the project management software Jira and Confluence
Requirements
- Several years of professional experience as a Node.js Backend Developer
- Strong knowledge of JavaScript and TypeScript
- Solid understanding of software architecture and backend design principles
- In-depth knowledge of PostgreSQL, including SQL optimization and query performance tuning
- Strong understanding of distributed systems, event-driven architectures and message queues (AWS SQS or RabbitMQ)
- Hands-on experience with AWS (Lambda, API Gateway, S3, SQS, SAM)
- Proficiency in Docker and Docker Compose
- Familiarity with Redis and caching concepts
- Proficient english
