The National Cyber Security Center (NCSC) is the main cybersecurity institution of Lithuania, striving to inspire and empower Lithuanian people and organizations to protect their information, services and assets from cyber threats. The Cyber Threat Research Department of the NCSC is currently looking for an experienced SOC Analyst to work in Vilnius!

Your tasks:

  • Based on the available information about threats and attack methods, periodically and structuredly make assumptions and verify them;
  • Perform network monitoring (ELK stack, Arkime);
  • Verify the activities of workstations and servers (Velociraptor, Bash, Powershell);
  • Maintain and improve the methodology for research and analysis of cyber threats;
  • Participate in and conduct cyber threat search operations and cyber rapid response team activities (CRRT);
  • Prepare analysis reports on cyber threats detected during searches;
  • Monitor cyber threat trends, including the development of new vulnerabilities, attack methods and techniques.

We hope that:

  • Have at least a higher education with a bachelor's degree;
  • Have at least 2 years of technical or analytical work experience in cybersecurity (e.g., SIEM, digital forensics, vulnerability testing);
  • You have a good understanding of the principles of the Linux operating system and the tools used in it (an advantage);
  • You know how to work with Powershell, Python or Bash (an advantage);
  • You know English at B2 level;
  • You meet the requirements set out in legal acts for working with or accessing classified information marked SECRET;
  • You share the following values: responsibility, professionalism, cooperation, respect.

According to the Lithuanian Classification of Occupations, the position title in the job description and employment contract is Information and Communication Technology Security Specialist.
