JOB ADVERTISEMENT FOR A FAMILY HOME SOCIAL WORKER
We are looking for a social worker to join our team to work in family homes.

Employee requirements

An employee holding this position must meet the following special requirements:
Have a qualification degree in social work (professional bachelor, bachelor, master) or a person who, by 2014. December 31. must have acquired another qualification degree (professional bachelor, bachelor, master) and a social worker qualification or have completed a social work study program, or have completed training to prepare for the practical activities of a social worker in accordance with the procedure established by the Minister of Social Security and Labour or have a qualification degree in social pedagogue (professional bachelor, bachelor, master);
Be able to work with the Microsoft Office program package;
Meet the requirements set out in Article 30, Part 1 of the Law of the Republic of Lithuania on the Fundamentals of the Protection of the Rights of the Child;
Be familiar with the Constitution of the Republic of Lithuania, laws of the Republic of Lithuania, Government resolutions, decisions of municipal institutions and other legal acts regulating child care, protection of children's rights, legal protection of personal data, Rules for Document Preparation, Rules for Document Management and Accounting, Code of Ethics for Social Work, and other legal acts regulating the performance of the functions provided for in the job description;
Be able to manage, accumulate, systematize, summarize information, prepare conclusions, independently plan, organize one's activities;
The employee is guided by the principles of individual approach, equal opportunities, confidentiality, child self-determination and recognition, responsibility and competence, and adheres to ethical norms.
The employee is orderly, honest, tolerant, benevolent, creative and proactive, without harmful habits.
The employee must know:
The institution's areas of activity, work organization procedure;
The system of educational and social services, various social assistance provision for the child;
The peculiarities of children with special needs and disabilities and the regularities of their integration into society;
Mechanisms for the formation of individual behavior and behavior in a group;
The laws of the Republic of Lithuania regulating the protection of the rights of the child, social, legal and organizational foundations, care;
The individual social care plan (hereinafter referred to as ISGP), the principles of drawing up and implementing various preventive and intervention programs;
The peculiarities of the employee's activities, requirements for his personality and professional development;
Requirements related to the protection of the child's health;
Hygiene requirements;
8.8.10. the peculiarities of the child's anatomy, physiology, age stages and social and psychological needs;
Requirements for employee safety and health, fire safety, electrical safety;
Provision of first aid in the event of an accident at work;
Requirements for communication and official etiquette;
The composition of institutional social care services;
Conceptual provisions of Lithuanian social security, child rights protection and the main legal acts regulating the provision of social services.
The employee must be able to:
The state language, know the basics of document preparation, management and archiving;
Assess the needs of children, identify the causes, emerging educational and social problems, solve them, draw up an ISGP;
Find out the possibilities of the child, his environment, and the team of specialists to solve the problem;
Work with the child promptly and effectively, and organize team work (if necessary);
Communicate and cooperate with the child, his family, relatives, team members, employees of the institution and other institutions;
Properly represent the interests of the child in other institutions;
Summarize and evaluate the effectiveness of the services provided;
Evaluate one's own activities;
Work in a team;
Have a category B driver's license, a valid Driver's Health Medical Examination Certificate, which allows you to drive the appropriate type of vehicle.
A valid Personal Medical Booklet and certificates confirming completion of the Compulsory First Aid and Compulsory Hygiene Skills Training Programs.

The public institution "Vaiko užuovėja" is a non-profit public legal entity with civil liability established in accordance with the procedure established by the Law on Public Institutions of the Republic of Lithuania. Accompanying service for young people - assistance and emotional support for young people who experience social exclusion and who need daily help in dealing with social and practical challenges;
Personal assistant service - individual assistance for persons with disabilities;
Temporary respite service - provides an opportunity to rest for a person (family) caring for a person with a mental, psychiatric, intellectual or complex disability.
