Social worker (for work with families)

Investigates the social environment of families experiencing social risk factors; - Plans and provides social care to families; - Forms a file of a family to which social services are provided, collects and systematizes documentation, information related to the family, its social environment; - Fills out descriptions of the work with families, taking into account the frequency of social service provision, and attaches them to the family file being formed; - Together with the family, draws up an Agreement on joint activities to achieve changes and, in accordance with it, organizes and provides social care, provides specific social services, and seeks alternatives to social solutions. Applies a personal and group social work model; - Assesses changes in the family and decides on the necessity of a change in the need for services; - Assesses the social environment of the family, writes household investigation acts; assesses the (personal) family's need for social services, fills out visit acts; - Participates in case review meetings, provides proposals, information about the social services provided and provided to the family, drawing up a Support Plan; - In the approved form, provides information and suggestions about the family to the case manager in accordance with the frequency of submission determined in the Assistance Plan; - Evaluates the effectiveness and efficiency of social care provided to a family experiencing social risk factors; - Provides written suggestions to the case manager regarding the adjustment of the assistance plan, the measures provided for the child and his/her family, taking into account the changed needs of the family and/or the changed family situation; - Provides written suggestions to the case manager or during the family case examination meeting regarding the termination of social services for a family experiencing social risk factors; - Mediates and directs the family and its members to the necessary institutions, institutions and organizations or to specialists necessary for the family or individual; - Communicates and cooperates with the family's social environment; - Cooperates with educators and health specialists of the educational institution.

Additional skills: To follow in one's work the laws of the Republic of Lithuania, Government resolutions establishing the protection of children's rights and family law, legal acts regulating the provision of social services and to be able to apply them when working with families; to know the requirements of the organization's document management procedure, the rules for document preparation, document management and accounting and to apply them in practical work to be able to work with computer programs MS Word, MS Excel, MS Power Point, Internet Explorer, Outlook to be able to collect, systematize, summarize information, present conclusions to have good communication skills, to be empathetic, to assess all service recipients equally and provide them with assistance regardless of their social status to observe confidentiality, providing information known about service recipients only in cases provided for by law to be dutiful, honest, disciplined, benevolent.

The amount of the salary depends on the number of families cared for, education, length of service, qualification category, and bonuses for achieved results.
