You will be responsible for:
- implementation of fish and crayfish stocking in state water bodies;
- implementation of special fishing;
- preparation of reports on the time and place of fish stocking in state water bodies and special fishing;
- implementation of maintenance of fish migration routes and facilities, removal of natural or artificial obstacles in fish migration routes;
- implementation of work on determining the efficiency of fish passages and monitoring fish migration;
- performance of functions of the user of the biodiversity information platform according to competences;
- participation in the implementation of projects financed by national, EU and other funds.
Employee requirements
- secondary education;
- preferably have work experience in the field of fisheries;
- be familiar with the legal acts of the Republic of Lithuania and the EU regulating fisheries;
- be able to work with Microsoft Office programs;
- have a category B driver's license.

The Fisheries Service under the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Lithuania is a modern budgetary institution that implements the fisheries policy of Lithuania and the European Union and ensures the sustainable use of fish resources. The Service organizes and carries out fishing control in the Baltic Sea and distant fishing areas (Atlantic, Pacific and other oceans), takes care of the conservation, restoration and enrichment of fish resources in inland waters, participates in the formation of fisheries policy and implements projects financed by the European Union.
An important area of activity of the Fisheries Service is fish farming: annually, about 15 million juveniles of various species of fish are raised and released into Lithuanian lakes and rivers, thus contributing to the preservation of biodiversity and the restoration of aquatic ecosystems.
