We invite a Sports News Editor to join the LRT Sports Group team and discover not only a space to grow, but also a community that supports and inspires you to strive for more.

In this position, you will be responsible for:

  • Monitoring and collecting information on Lithuanian and foreign sports news and events;
  • Preparing reports, articles and other sports content for television, radio and the portal LRT.lt;
  • Presenting sports news and reviews live on air;
  • Searching for interviewees, interviewing and preparing interviews;
  • Preparing reports from the most important sports events in Lithuania and abroad;
  • Generating content ideas and collaborating with the team in creating relevant sports content for television, radio, the portal and social networks.

We hope you will have:

  • Higher university education or studying at a higher education institution and having experience in journalistic work (advantage – in the field of journalism or sports);
  • At least 2 years of work experience on television, radio or a news portal (advantage – in sports media);
  • Excellent knowledge of Lithuanian and English;
  • Knowledge of the field of sports, interest in Lithuanian and international sports events;
  • Ability to work live on air, plan work, set priorities and respond promptly to current events;
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to work in a team, initiative, creativity and responsibility.
