WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
As a Construction Manager, your daily tasks will include:
- Coordinating the activities of specialists in various fields to ensure the smooth execution of construction works, including logistics control, ensuring the availability and quality of materials for subcontractors and carrying out inspections
- Cooperation with international subcontractors
- You will be the main contact person on the construction site when communicating with the client (BAIUDBw construction department), including coordinating changes and additional orders, cooperating with the German armed forces, coordinating related issues with the head office and providing regular information on the progress of the project
- Managing the construction site, ensuring compliance with the occupational health and safety and construction requirements of the Republic of Lithuania
- Coordinating the activities of third-party employees and supervising the work carried out on the construction site
- Managing and supervising the facility after completion of construction works
- Ensuring labor discipline
WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU:
- Higher education in civil engineering or equivalent qualification
- Professional experience in implementing similar projects
- Experience working in a military environment would be an advantage
- Proficiency in MS Project
- Proficiency in German at least at level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR);
- Excellent knowledge of English and Lithuanian, both spoken and written
- Excellent communication and coordination skills when working with internal and external partners
- Structured, systematic and solution-oriented approach to work
- Ability to quickly analyze technical issues and propose practical solutions
- Willingness to take responsibility and make decisions
- Strong teamwork skills and ability to effectively coordinate activities in an international environment
