Job description

Key responsibilities:
Define loads and design conditions in accordance with relevant standards (NORSOK, DNV, Eurocode, or physical testing).
Perform and document structural analyses using finite element analysis or analytical methods.
Represent the structural discipline in tenders, studies, and execution projects.
Identify relevant load cases based on production needs and customer requirements for the final product.
Participate in project teams with close collaboration with bid managers, project managers, and fabrication.
Actively contribute to the engineering department, for example by improving work methods and participating in design reviews for other projects.
Ensure that HSEQ aspects are considered in all work, including designing safe solutions and verifying or quality-controlling materials, products, and production processes.

Relevant higher technical education in mechanical or civil engineering, with experience in structural analysis.
Strong technical understanding and ability to interpret drawings and specifications.
Experience in preparing relevant technical documentation.
Experience with GRP is an advantage, or a strong interest in learning about composite materials.
Good English skills, both written and spoken.
Independent and responsible.
Solution-oriented and creative, with the ability to understand customer needs.
Strong collaboration skills and openness to input and new ideas.
Ability to manage your own time and handle multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
Strong technical understanding and ability to interpret drawings and specifications.
Experience in preparing relevant technical documentation.

CSUB’s engineering department currently consists of approximately 20 employees, and we offer a positive and supportive working environment. You will be part of an international and inclusive workplace with colleagues in Norway, Lithuania, and other locations worldwide.
