Truck and Semi-Trailer Mechanic – 2 weeks on/2 weeks off

Work in our company's truck and semi-trailer workshop in Eupene, Belgium.

The work is organized according to the system: 2 weeks of work in Belgium / 2 weeks at home in Lithuania.

The main tasks are maintenance, repair and troubleshooting of trucks, semi-trailers and their technical systems. Various mechanical, metalworking and repair work is also performed.

Our company operates food tankers and refrigerated semi-trailers, therefore, depending on the employee's experience, work with this specialized equipment is also possible.

We are looking for 2 employees for long-term work in our team.

Accommodation in Belgium during the work period is provided by the company.

Experience in truck, commercial vehicle or car repair is a big advantage.

We are not only looking for experienced truck mechanics. We are also looking for car mechanics, locksmiths, metal construction specialists and welders who want to learn how to work with trucks and semi-trailers.

Experience in stainless steel welding and processing is an added advantage.

What is most important to us is a good technical understanding, practical skills, reliability, independence and a willingness to learn.

It is necessary to be able to communicate in at least one of the following languages: German, French or English. It is not necessary to know all three languages.

The candidate must be able to work in a work system: 2 weeks in Belgium / 2 weeks at home in Lithuania.

2100-2600 €/mon. net
Salary and additional benefits
Starting salary: from €21 gross per hour, depending on qualifications and experience.
A minimum of 144 paid working hours per month are guaranteed, resulting in a basic monthly salary of at least €3,024 gross. Depending on the individual tax situation, this amounts to approximately €2,200-2,250 net per month.
If the employee wishes and in compliance with the applicable working and rest time requirements, there may be the possibility of working more hours and earning more accordingly.
In addition to the regular monthly salary, the employee may also receive additional annual benefits under the Belgian system:

• Holiday pay: approximately €3,000-4,500 net per year, depending on the salary and the period of employment in the previous year.
• Annual/end-of-year bonus: approximately €1,200-2,000 net per year, depending on the applicable Belgian sectoral rules and the period of employment.

In Belgium, the right to all these benefits is formed gradually. In particular, holiday pay is calculated based on the period worked in the previous calendar year, so when starting work, the relevant period of work must first be accrued. For this reason, the full annual amount of benefits is usually only reached after the initial accrual period. Once the full reference period has been accrued, these benefits are paid each year, if the applicable conditions are met.
Work system: 2 weeks of work in Belgium / 2 weeks at home in Lithuania.
During the work period in Belgium, accommodation is provided and paid for by the company.
A Belgian employment contract is concluded.
