Job Description
The main place of work is at Vilnius Airport, but the technician spends 20-30% of his working time at other facilities in European countries during the year. The salary during business trips is about 3000 euros (or more) per month, depending on the country of destination.
The technician is responsible for the technical maintenance, prevention and troubleshooting of equipment operated at the airport (i.e. telescopic passenger boarding bridges, baggage conveyors and automatic systems). The purpose of this position is to ensure that all equipment operates reliably, safely and meets technical and quality requirements. During business trips, the technician performs services related to telescopic passenger boarding bridges.
The technician performs scheduled preventive maintenance work according to established schedules and instructions, performs equipment inspections, identifies possible failures, and takes action to prevent them. If equipment malfunctions are noticed, the technician promptly diagnoses the malfunctions and performs repairs or informs the responsible persons about further actions.
During work, the technician follows the technical documentation, manufacturer's instructions, and applicable safety requirements. He is responsible for the proper use of tools and work equipment, maintains order in the workplace, and ensures the quality of work.
The technician closely cooperates with the maintenance supervisor and other shift workers, performs assigned tasks, provides information about the condition of the equipment, and the work performed. If necessary, contributes to the execution of work with external services.
Work is organized in shifts, therefore the technician works according to the established shift schedule, ensuring uninterrupted operation of the equipment.
