Maintenance Engineer

We are looking for a responsible, technically minded and proactive maintenance engineer who wants to not only troubleshoot problems, but also understand their causes, improve equipment reliability and actively contribute to the improvement of the maintenance department.
This is a position for someone who is not afraid to delve into technical problems, is able to make independent decisions and takes responsibility for the work performed and its results.

We are a stable and growing manufacturing company in Kaunas (LEZ II, Ramučiai), producing glass units for the construction industry. We are one of the leaders in glass processing in Europe and we believe that our strength is our people.
We work with complex automated production lines that use mechanical, electrical, automation, pneumatics and electronic systems. The goal of our technical maintenance team is not only to quickly restore the operation of the equipment, but also to ensure its reliability, stability and continuous improvement.

· Analyze failures of production equipment, determine their true causes (Root Cause Analysis) and implement solutions that help prevent recurrence;
· Independently diagnose malfunctions of electrical, electronic, automation, mechanical, pneumatic and other equipment systems;
· Analyze the operating principles of equipment, technical diagrams, signals, parameters and settings;
· Work with inverters / frequency converters, servo drives, electric motors, controllers, sensors and other industrial electronics;
· Determine whether the cause of the failure is mechanical, electrical, software, parametric or related to improper adjustment of the equipment;
· Coordinate equipment maintenance, repair and modernization work;
· Analyze recurring failures and initiate long-term technical solutions;
· Propose and implement solutions that improve equipment reliability, performance and energy efficiency;
· Participate in the commissioning of equipment after repair, modernization or technical changes;
· Coordinate the work of external contractors and equipment manufacturers/service specialists;
· Cooperate with equipment manufacturers and service specialists, clearly communicate technical problems and coordinate their resolution;
· Prepare, update and systematize technical documentation, instructions, failure analysis and recommendations for equipment;
· Prepare and update CAD drawings and technical solutions;
· Contribute to the improvement of technical maintenance processes using CMMS, TPM and Lean Manufacturing principles;
· Share technical knowledge with colleagues, prepare technical instructions and recommendations;
· Participate in the development and implementation of preventive and planned technical maintenance solutions.

· Technical education in mechanics, electricity, electromechanics, automation or similar field;
· Experience working with production equipment, its maintenance or repair;
· Good mechanical and electrical fundamentals;
· Understanding of electric motors, inverters / frequency converters and servo drives;
· Ability to diagnose technical failures and understand how mechanical, electrical and control systems interact with each other;
· Ability to read electrical, pneumatic and mechanical diagrams;
· Ability to work with technical documentation and search for information in equipment manufacturers' instructions and manuals;
· Ability to use measuring and diagnostic tools;
· Logical and analytical thinking when solving technical problems;
· Ability to work independently and take responsibility for the result;
· Initiative and willingness to learn.

· Experience working with inverters/frequency converters and servo drives;
· Experience with industrial automation, PLC, sensors and control systems;
· Experience with industrial electronics and electrical cabinet equipment;
· Good mechanical knowledge and practical experience;
· Experience in performing root cause analysis (RCA) of equipment failures;
· Experience working with CAD programs and preparing technical drawings;
· Experience working with CMMS systems;
· Knowledge of TPM and Lean Manufacturing principles;
· Experience in modernizing production equipment or installing new equipment;
· Knowledge of English;
· Knowledge of German or Polish is an advantage.

3200-3800 €/mon. gross
Starting salary – €3,200 gross;
after 3 months – €3,500 gross;
after 12 months – €3,600 gross;
after 18 months – €3,700 gross;
after 24 months – €3,800 gross.
