Technologist

We are looking for a Chief Technologist who would be responsible for the production technological system: from product technology and route development to stable quality assurance, standardization and continuous improvements. Production is carried out in-house, therefore the main focus is on technologicality, process repeatability and quick production launch.
Technology and production preparation:

• Development and updating of technological processes for the following operations: laser cutting, bending (sheet metal bending machines), soldering, assembly, riveting / riveted joints, finishing works.
• Technological preparation of new products: route creation, operation cards, requirements for equipment and tools, quality control points.
• Launch of new products / series: process monitoring from the first sample to a stable series, change management.
• Standardization: setting time and material consumption rates, labor intensity assessment, cost calculation and optimization proposals.
• Optimization of material use: improvement of layouts and material utilization (in cooperation with laser programming and planning departments).
• Quality analysis: analysis of the causes of defects and deviations and implementation of corrective actions.
• Technological discipline: implementation of standards, instructions and visual regulations in the workshop.
• Selection of equipment and tools: selection and implementation of auxiliary equipment, assembly/riveting tools and templates.
• Modernization: initiation of equipment renewal, improvement of production flows and workplaces.

Requirements

• Work experience: at least 3-5 years in the position of chief or managing technologist in the production of metal products.
• Technological knowledge: excellent knowledge of sheet metal processing technologies (laser cutting, bending, assembly, riveting). Experience in the field of soldering (electromechanical assembly) would be a great advantage.
• Drawing reading: the ability to freely read drawings and specifications, to know tolerances and applications.
• Practical experience: implementation of technological processes directly in the workshop (not only preparation of documents, but also commissioning, training of employees, control).
• Software: skills in working with CAD systems (SolidWorks / AutoCAD / Kompas / Tekla). Knowledge of ERP/MES systems (e.g., 1C) would be an advantage.
• Management skills.
