Lawyer

The goal of the Legal Department of Girteka Transport is to provide comprehensive, uninterrupted, top-quality and professional legal services in Lithuania and throughout the European Union. We are currently looking for a Lawyer to work in Šiauliai, who would like to work, learn and grow in a specific area of the transport sector and would be responsible for legal monitoring, operational risk management and case coordination in several separate areas.

The knowledge, experience and skills acquired with us are and will be unique. Since you will need to have a thorough knowledge of the processes, constant communication with external partners and other Girteka colleagues is necessary.

What will your working day look like?

• Monitoring, analysis, summarization and presentation of relevant legal acts to departments.
• Coordination and administration of IMI (Internal Market Information System) requests.
• Identification, assessment and management of legal risks and compliance.
• Participation in client audits within the scope of competence.
• Management and coordination of cases related to illegal migrants.
• Preparation and assessment of documents, participation in negotiations, representation of the company's position.
• Initiation of process improvements according to business needs and responsibility for assigned legal issues in relevant jurisdictions.

What do we expect from you?

• At least 2 years of professional experience in a law firm or working as an in-house lawyer.
• Higher university law education.
• Very good knowledge of English and Lithuanian (written and oral); knowledge of Russian is an advantage.
• Entrepreneurship, result-oriented and proactive, practical approach to problem solving.
• Strong analytical skills and good argumentation and negotiation skills.
• Motivation to constantly learn, improve and take on new responsibilities.
• A positive, solution-oriented approach (“how to do it”, not “why not”).

Advantages:

• Experience in the fields of migration law, legal status of foreigners and labor law in Lithuania and (or) abroad.
• Knowledge of international transport and logistics, compliance or legal risk management.

• Monthly salary (gross): From €2,930 to €3,670. The specific salary is offered taking into account work experience, competence and compliance with other requirements of the position.
