Nature of work
Fiber optic network operation work (faults, their detection/repair, dismantling of old lines). New network construction work (installation, assembly of optical overhead and underground lines, work at stations with active/passive equipment, private and business clients). Work on long-term business trips.
Employee requirements
- Experience working with optical cables and their installation;
- Experience working with OTDR and other optical network testing equipment;
- Ability to communicate in English;
- Willingness and ability to work on long-term business trips lasting at least 2 months.
Advantages:
- Engineering education;
- Knowledge of Norwegian (a very big advantage);
- Experience working with copper telecommunication networks and weak currents;
- Experience working at heights (on wooden poles);
- BE, CE driving categories.
