NETWORK STRATEGY EXPERT(S)

We are currently looking for a new team member in the Network Strategy Department. In this position, you will work on strategic network issues, analyze SAIDI, SAIFI and other quality indicators, assess the impact of automation, cabling, digitalization and other measures, prepare recommendations for management and contribute to decisions that are important not only for ESO, but also for the wider energy sector.. You will contribute to the creation of a safe, reliable and green energy ecosystem:

• By forming and updating a long-term strategy for the reliability, resilience, development and modernization of the distribution electricity network;
• By analyzing "SAIDI", "SAIFI" and other network quality indicators, identifying areas for their improvement and assessing the impact of the implemented measures;
• Preparing network development scenarios and assessing their impact on reliability, investment needs, costs, customer experience and energy transformation goals;
• Assessing network automation, cabling, digitalization, resilience and other modernization measures and helping to set priorities for their implementation;
• Preparing a 10-year investment plan, investment prioritization methodologies, strategic statements and other documents important for decision-making;
• Analyzing network status, faults, loads, risks and investment data, preparing clear conclusions and reasoned recommendations for management;
• Assessing the impact of climate change, extreme weather events and other risks on the electricity network and proposing directions for increasing network resilience;
• Analyzing Lithuanian and international practices, technology trends and advanced network management solutions, including automation, flexibility, energy storage or "DERMS";
• Cooperating with internal teams, the Ministry of Energy, VERT, Litgrid, associations and other energy sector participants, contributing to the formation of joint sector solutions.

• Higher education in energy, engineering, technology, economics, data analytics or exact sciences;
• At least 4 years of experience in the field of energy, infrastructure, power grids, investment planning, regulated activities, strategic planning or data-driven analysis;
• Understanding of the principles of the electricity sector and the ability to relate complex topics to network reliability, investments, customer experience and the regulatory environment;
• Ability to analyze large-scale information and data, extract the essence, establish causal relationships and formulate clear conclusions;
• Ability to evaluate different investment or technological alternatives, their benefits, risks, costs and long-term impact;
• Strategic, analytical and systematic thinking, at the same time the ability to explain complex topics in a simple and reasoned way;
• Ability to independently organize work, manage several topics at the same time and effectively cooperate with different stakeholders;
• Very good Lithuanian language skills and good English language skills.

An advantage would be:

• Experience in analyzing SAIDI, SAIFI or other indicators of power grid quality and reliability;
• Experience in the areas of planning, operation, design, asset management or modernization of power grids;
• Experience in preparing long-term investment plans, investment prioritization methodologies, scenario analysis or cost-benefit assessments;
• Knowledge of the principles of regulated activities or experience in cooperation with VERT, the Ministry of Energy, Litgrid or other institutions;
• Experience in preparing strategic documents, statements, presentations and recommendations for management or external stakeholders;
• Experience in working with Power BI, GIS, SQL, Jira or other data analysis, planning and project management tools.

The fixed salary range for the position group is from 3,430 to 5,150 EUR (excluding taxes). The specific salary is offered taking into account work experience and competence. A variable remuneration component may be paid in addition to the salary.
