About the position

UAB „Navisarma“ managed 4-star hotel in Marijampolė is looking for a Hotel Operations Manager — a person who would become the right hand of the hotel director and would be responsible for the smooth daily operations of the hotel.

This is a position for a person who sees not only individual tasks, but the whole picture of the hotel's activities: reception, room service, guest service, staff work, schedules, quality standards, processes and daily decisions.

We are looking for a manager who is able to ensure order, respond quickly to situations, maintain a high level of service and help the team work clearly, efficiently and professionally.

Main responsibilities

In this position, you will be responsible for organizing and controlling the daily activities of the hotel:

  • ensuring smooth daily operations of the 4★ hotel;
  • coordinating the work of the reception, room service and other hotel employees;
  • planning of staff work schedules, task distribution and control;
  • ensuring the quality of guest service, hotel standards and representativeness;
  • resolving guest questions, requests, complaints and non-standard situations;
  • supervision of arrivals, departures, reservations, occupancy and guest flows;
  • control of room preparation, cleanliness, order and quality;
  • effective transfer of information between shifts and different hotel departments;
  • introduction, training and motivation of new employees and team;
  • improvement of daily operational processes and prevention of problems;
  • supervision of service quality, work discipline and compliance with internal procedures;
  • cooperation with suppliers, partners and service providers;
  • monitoring of operational reports, occupancy, quality or other indicators;
  • direct cooperation with the hotel director in making daily operational decisions.

Employee requirements

What we expect from a candidate

We expect that you:

  • have experience in the hotel, accommodation, tourism, customer service or service sector;
  • have experience in leadership, team coordination or shift/department management;
  • understand how a hotel works: reception, room management, reservations, guest service, standards;
  • are able to organize work, distribute responsibilities and control the result;
  • know how to communicate with guests and resolve conflict situations professionally;
  • are quick-witted, responsible, demanding of quality and attentive to details;
  • are able to maintain calm in dynamic or stressful situations;
  • have leadership qualities and are able to be an authority for the team;
  • have a good command of Lithuanian;
  • know English at least at a level that allows you to communicate with hotel guests;
  • you are able to work with a computer and hotel / reservation systems or learn them quickly.

Advantages

Great advantages would be:

  • experience in a hotel in a management position;
  • experience in managing the reception, room service or guest service department;
  • experience in working with a hotel management system;
  • knowledge of English, Russian, Polish or other languages;
  • experience in a 4★ or higher category hotel;
  • ability to analyze occupancy, guest reviews, service quality and propose practical improvement solutions.
