Nature of work
- Maintaining and organizing full accounting, monitoring accounting policy.
- Accounting for grain purchases from farmers: purchase documents, quality (moisture, impurities) deductions, advances and settlements with farmers.
- Application of VAT accounting specific to grain trade: reverse charge VAT, farmers' compensatory VAT rate, 0% VAT for exports and supplies of goods to other EU countries.
- Accounting for export transactions: recognition of income according to Incoterms conditions, control of export documents (CMR, bills of lading, customs declarations), accounting for currency transactions and exchange rate differences.
- Accounting for grain stocks in elevators and port terminals, organization of inventories, reconciliation of balances with warehouse data.
- Tax calculation and preparation of tax returns (VAT, corporate income tax, GPM, Sodra, etc.), i.SAF, i.VAZ and Intrastat data submission.
- Preparation of reports required by law - preparation and submission of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements to state institutions.
- Cooperation with auditors, banks, STI and other institutions.
- Close work with the grain purchasing and trading team, participation in the implementation of a new purchasing and accounting system.
Employee requirements
- Higher education in accounting, finance or economics.
- At least 3 years of work experience in the field of accounting, at least part of which is in maintaining full company accounting.
- Know and be able to apply the legal acts of the Republic of Lithuania regulating accounting and taxation, especially the application of VAT to trade with the EU and third countries.
- Excellent knowledge of the Lithuanian language and knowledge of the English language at least at the B2 level.
- Excellent computer literacy skills (especially MS Excel) and experience working with accounting programs (e.g. Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central).
- Ability to track your activity data and work efficiently, especially during the intensive harvest season.
- Compliance with the following description of personal qualities: diligence, responsibility, analytical thinking, organization, intelligence, ability to work in a team.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
