UAB Nostrada has been engaged in international road freight transport since 1998 and operates under the brand RV Transport. We manage a fleet of more than 1,000 trucks, transport cargo throughout Europe and have more than 1,000 employees. The group also owns companies in Lithuania, Latvia, Poland and Germany. We are looking for an experienced chief accountant who would manage the company's accounting and ensure accurate, timely financial information.

Organize the work of the accounting department, manage the team of accountants.
Ensure orderly accounting in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Lithuania and the VAS.
Prepare and submit annual and interim financial reports.
Prepare and submit tax returns (VAT, GPM, corporate income tax, Social Insurance Fund, etc.) to the State Tax Service, Social Insurance Fund, Statistics Department.
Control the monthly and annual closing, reconciliations of account balances and inventories.
Supervise the accounting of fixed assets (vehicle fleet), leasing and financial liabilities.
Supervise the accounting of wages, including drivers' daily allowances and business trips.
Coordinate transactions between group companies and mutual debt reconciliations.
Cooperate with auditors, tax administrator, banks and leasing companies.
Provide financial information and analysis to the CFO and management.
Improve accounting processes and internal control.

What we expect from you

Higher university education (in accounting, finance or economics).
At least 5 years of experience as a chief accountant or equivalent.
Excellent knowledge of the accounting and tax legislation of the Republic of Lithuania.
Experience with medium or large companies. Experience in the transport or logistics sector, with international transactions or a group of companies would be a great advantage.
Ability to work with accounting programs Rivilė / Finvalda / Agnum / Navision and good command of MS Excel.
Experience in leading a team.
Responsibility, accuracy, analytical thinking, ability to work with large information flows.
Knowledge of English and / or Russian would be an advantage.
