CHIEF ACCOUNTANT / ACCOUNTANT IN A TRANSPORT COMPANY

We are currently looking for an experienced and responsible Chief Accountant with work experience in a transport company to join our team.

We are looking for a professional who would be able to independently organize and ensure smooth accounting and financial accounting of the company, contribute to the effective management of financial processes and be a reliable team member.

We provide the opportunity to work in Marijampolė or Kaunas.

Full accounting, supervision and control of the company's accounting;
Verification, processing and entry of primary accounting documents into the accounting program "Debetas";
Accounting and calculation of wages, business trips and daily allowances;
Control and reconciliation of debts of debtors and creditors;
Accounting for drivers' business trips and documents related to transport activities;
Accounting and control of settlements with customers, suppliers and employees;
Preparation and timely submission of VAT, GPM, "Sodra" and other tax and statistical declarations;
Closing of monthly, quarterly and annual accounting periods;
Preparation of annual financial statements;
Preparation of financial statements and necessary information for the company's management;
Organization of work, distribution of tasks and control of accounting staff;
Digitization and automation of accounting processes;
Participation in financial audits and cooperation with auditors, banks and state institutions;
Improvement of accounting policies and internal control processes;
Monitoring changes in accounting and tax legislation of the Republic of Lithuania and their application in the company's activities;
Cooperation with the company's management and other departments.

Good knowledge of the specifics of accounting in the transport sector;
At least 3 years of accounting experience in a transport / logistics company;
Experience in accounting for drivers' wages, business trips and daily allowances;
Higher or higher education in the field of accounting, finance or economics;
Good analytical skills and the ability to work with large amounts of data;
Good skills in working with MS Excel;
Good knowledge of the legislation of the Republic of Lithuania regulating accounting and taxes;
Ability to independently prepare tax returns and financial statements;
Experience working with the "Debetas" accounting program is a great advantage;
Responsibility, diligence, independence and the ability to meet deadlines;
Knowledge of English, German and/or Russian is an advantage.
