📍 ABOUT THE COMPANY AND POSITION:
An international engineering and technical services company working with foreign clients is looking for a Chief Accountant to join its team in Klaipėda. This is a growing, small organization where the Chief Accountant is independently responsible for the entire accounting function and collaborates directly with the company manager.
📍 YOUR ROLE IN THE ORGANIZATION:
- Organization and control of full company accounting;
- Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements;
- Preparation of tax returns and ensuring tax deadlines;
- Payroll accounting (~20 employees);
- Budget preparation and monitoring of its implementation;
- Control of cash flows, receivables and payables;
- Reconciliation of bank transactions and accounts;
- Accounting and reconciliation of transactions between related companies;
- Coordination of audits and tax inspections;
- Providing financial information and insights to the company's manager;
- Improvement of internal control, accounting and reporting processes;
- Initiation of more efficient work processes and accounting automation solutions.
📍WE HOPE YOU:
- You have a higher education in accounting, finance, economics or a related field;
- You have experience in a chief accountant, senior accountant or similar independent accounting position;
- You have excellent knowledge of Lithuanian accounting and tax legislation;
- You have experience in preparing financial statements and closing accounting periods;
- You have experience in payroll accounting;
- You are able to independently plan work, meet deadlines and take responsibility for the result;
- You speak English at C1 level and can communicate fluently on professional and financial issues;
- You have experience working with ERP / accounting systems.
📍 THE ORGANIZATION OFFERS:
- Starting salary of about 2,000–2,200 EUR in hand;
- For a strong candidate after the probationary period – the opportunity for the salary to grow to about 2,500–2,700 EUR in hand;
