Nature of work

  • Organize and ensure proper accounting of the Company in accordance with the legal acts of the Republic of Lithuania and the requirements of the regulated financial sector.
  • Prepare financial statements and ensure their timely submission to the management, the board and supervisory authorities (Bank of Lithuania).
  • Coordinate the annual financial audit and cooperate with external auditors.
  • Perform accounting of client funds, ensure their segregation and control in accordance with applicable safeguarding rules.
  • Calculate and monitor capital adequacy, prepare related reports and provide information to management.
  • Ensure proper accounting of investment and securities portfolio.
  • Control the legality of business operations and compliance with internal policies.
  • Ensure correct calculation of taxes and their timely payment.
  • Prepare and update internal documents for accounting, capital management and protection of client funds.
  • Distribute tasks to subordinate employee(s) and organize the smooth operation of the accounting function.
  • Calculation of wages according to the specifics of the companies.
  • Participation in digitalization, improvement and risk management initiatives of financial processes.

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of work experience as a senior accountant, preferably in an electronic money institution, financial institution, fintech sector or audit firm (Big 4).
  • Practical experience in ensuring the protection of client funds (safeguarding according to the requirements of the Electronic Money and Payment Institutions Regulation.
  • Understanding of the regulation of financial transactions, supervision requirements of the Bank of Lithuania, compliance and AML environment.
  • Excellent knowledge of accounting, tax and labor law of the Republic of Lithuania.
  • Higher university education in the field of finance, accounting or economics.
  • Experience in preparing financial statements, working with auditors, regulatory inquiries and internal control procedures.
  • Responsibility, diligence, initiative and ability to work in a dynamic team.
  • Ability to plan work, manage priorities and ensure compliance with deadlines.
  • Work experience with the accounting system "Rivile" is an advantage.
