The largest tour operator in the Baltic States, AB Novaturas, invites a Chief Accountant to join the team in Vilnius or Kaunas.

Job Description

  • Ownership and supervision of the accounting process.
  • Organization of team work.
  • Preparation of annual and quarterly financial statements together with the financial controller.
  • Preparation of financial, tax reports, declarations and their timely submission to state institutions, banks and company management.
  • Supervision of outsourced services.
  • Analysis and control of accounting data flows.
  • Ownership of the audit and state institution inspection process.
  • Optimization of work, supervision of the timeliness and completeness of period-end closing processes.

Requirements

  • Higher education in accounting, finance or economics.
  • At least 3 years of experience in the position of chief accountant/financier.
  • Team management experience.
  • Knowledge of accounting and tax legislation.
  • IFRS/GAAP knowledge.
  • Experience working with the accounting program Microsoft Dynamics NAV (would be an advantage).
  • Experience in increasing the efficiency of accounting activities, initiating and implementing changes.
  • Ability to work both in a team and independently.
  • Excellent oral and written knowledge of Lithuanian and English.
  • Excellent computer skills (Ms Office).
