Main responsibilities:
- Prepare design solutions for the railway and related infrastructure required for the implementation of the Rail Baltica project using recognized innovative methods and specialized engineering software
- Evaluate the applied engineering solutions from a technical and economic point of view and search for the optimal option taking into account the technologically related whole and the established priorities (or set them)
- Carry out the initiation and planning of design tasks, monitor and control the deadlines, scope and quality of the tasks being performed
- Coordinate and control internal resources and third parties/suppliers in order to ensure timely and high-quality implementation of the projects.
- Provide timely information about the likely risks of task implementation, provide recommendations for their management
- Monitor and assess the effectiveness of design activities, provide insights, proposals for its optimization/review/improvement
- Perform the functions of the project manager and/or project part manager established in the Law on Construction of the Republic of Lithuania and by-laws
- Cooperate with employees of other areas of activity on issues of construction research, design, project execution supervision, processes, data submission and reporting
What do we expect?
- Higher education (preferably in the field of technological sciences)
- Engineering knowledge of railway and related infrastructure design and knowledge of international standards (an advantage - knowledge of high-speed railway standards)
- Work experience in the field of design of transport structures (an advantage - in the field of railway design)
- Knowledge of project management methodologies
- Qualifications of the project manager and/or project part manager (an advantage)
- Experienced user-level computerized knowledge of railway design software
- knowledge of programming applied in design activities
- good planning skills, result orientation
- good analytical knowledge, attention to detail, critical thinking, excellent communication, negotiation skills
- knowledge of clerical, document preparation rules
- English language skills in writing and speaking (not lower than B2 level)
- ability to find non-standard solutions in complex work situations
