Main responsibilities:
Prepare geotechnical analysis, perform project review and implementation supervision in all aspects related to the "Rail Baltica" railway project - embankments, stabilized earthworks, structures, retaining walls, soft soil zones, etc. according to RBR design guidelines, Eurocodes:
- Perform geological and geotechnical assessment of "Rail Baltica" railway projects during project preparation and coordination, ensure compliance with design guidelines and national standard requirements
- Perform geological and geotechnical supervision of "Rail Baltica" railway projects during construction works, ensure compliance with design solutions, design guidelines and national standard requirements
- Participate in technical discussions with designers and/or contractors, resolving geotechnical issues related to design and/or project implementation, achieving mutual agreements
- Provide geotechnical assessment, consultations, proposals to AB "LTG Infra" project managers and other interested specialists at document preparation, public procurement, design, construction and other stages
- Participate in processes related to the preparation and implementation of "Rail Baltica" railway infrastructure structures
- Participate in planning and preparing long-term earthworks and asset condition monitoring strategies
- Participate in geotechnical optimization assessments of projects as needed, provide suggestions
- Contribute to the development of a construction phase geotechnical supervision checklist
What do we expect?
- Higher education (Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, geotechnical direction or equivalent, or Master's degree in transportation engineering or equivalent)
- Work experience in designing and/or supervising infrastructure development projects in the geotechnical field
- Good working skills in PLAXIS, GEO5, AUTOCAD and other software packages
- Understanding of how to identify geographic hazards and associate appropriate geotechnical remedial measures
- Experience working with project information systems/databases
- Fluent Lithuanian, good English skills
- Commitment to continuous improvement and accuracy in all details
