In this position, you will ensure that accounting is accurate, taxes are filed on time, and financial statements reflect the true picture. We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant who works independently and is constantly looking for ways to make processes simpler and more efficient.
Responsibilities:
- Organization of tax accounting, control and enforcement of tax obligations.
- Analysis of balance sheet items, control and ensuring the correctness of accounting data.
- Preparation of financial statements and analysis of their data.
- Participation in audits, submission of information and documents to auditors and coordination of emerging issues.
- Development, improvement, automation and ongoing monitoring of accounting processes.
- Control of accounting data and processes in order to ensure their accuracy, timeliness and compliance with legal acts.
- Consulting and methodological assistance to the accounting team, solving more complex accounting issues.
- Cooperation with other departments in solving financial accounting issues.
- Performance of other additional tasks related to accounting, finance and company activities.
Requirements:
- Higher university or equivalent education in finance, accounting, economics or a similar field.
- Work experience in the field of accounting and finance.
- Good knowledge of the legal acts of the Republic of Lithuania regulating accounting, taxes and financial reporting.
- Practical experience in preparing financial statements and analyzing balance sheet and profit and loss statement items.
- Good knowledge of tax accounting and declaration principles.
- Experience in working with financial statement audits and communicating with auditors.
- Knowledge of international accounting standards.
- Ability to independently analyze accounting data, identify discrepancies and make decisions.
- Experience in improving, automating and standardizing accounting processes.
- Good skills in working with MS Excel; experience working with accounting or ERP systems is considered an advantage.
- Responsibility, diligence, analytical thinking and the ability to work independently.
- Ability to cooperate in a team, consult colleagues and solve more complex accounting issues.
- Ability to plan work, meet deadlines and ensure the quality of the work performed.
