Senior Accountant

“Vilniaus duona”, being the leader of the Lithuanian market and the largest bread producer in the Baltic States, belongs to the international bakery group “Lantmännen Unibake”, which specializes in the production of frozen and fresh baked goods.

We are currently inviting a senior accountant to join the “Vilniaus duona” team. In this position, you will be responsible for managing important accounting processes, month-end closing, reporting and participating in financial projects and improving accounting processes.

Main responsibilities

• Ensure a smooth payment process to suppliers, control of settlements and administration of supplier data.
• Manage accounting for fixed assets, business trips, company cars and income in kind.
• Perform month-end closing procedures, perform IFRS 16, Netting and other accounting operations.
• Prepare and submit i.SAF, Intrastat and other reports required by legal acts.
• Participate in audit procedures, financial projects and accounting process improvements.
• Deputize for the Accounting Manager when necessary and contribute to ensuring the smooth operation of the team.

To be successful, we expect you to:

• Have a higher or higher education in finance, accounting or a related field.
• Have at least 3 years of work experience as a senior or chief accountant.
• Have a good knowledge of accounting, taxes and legal acts regulating the activities of companies in the Republic of Lithuania.
• Have a good command of English (B2 level).
• You are excellent at working with computers, and experience working with the Dynamics 365 system would be an added advantage.
• Have work experience in an international company or in an international work environment.
• Have analytical thinking and are able to make data-based decisions.
• Are responsible, meticulous, able to independently organize your work and effectively cooperate in a team.
• Experience in management or team coordination would be an added advantage.

The final salary will depend on the candidate's experience and competencies. An annual bonus is also provided, depending on the company's performance.
