What will be your responsibilities?

  • You will ensure timely and correct registration of business transactions, compliance of primary accounting documents with accounting requirements and accuracy of accounting data.
  • You will carry out monthly and quarterly closing processes, ensuring their timely and high-quality performance.
  • You will analyze and check general ledger accounts, balance sheet item balances, perform accounting data reconciliations and assess their validity.
  • You will participate in the budgeting process, provide the necessary accounting data.
  • You will prepare, check and submit VAT returns, i.SAF registers and other tax reports of assigned companies.
  • You will prepare and submit assigned statistical reports, ensuring the accuracy of their data and submission within the established deadlines.
  • You will carry out accounting of intercompany transactions of the group companies, perform reconciliations, prepare and register internal transaction documents.
  • You will analyze business transactions, assess their accounting and tax treatment.
  • You will identify accounting discrepancies, analyze their causes and initiate and make the necessary adjustments.
  • You will participate in audit processes, prepare and provide the necessary information and answers to auditors' inquiries.
  • You will cooperate with other teams, consult colleagues on accounting issues, share professional knowledge and contribute to the introduction of new employees.
  • You will provide proposals for improving accounting processes and strengthening control, contribute to the implementation of efficiency and automation solutions.

What do you need for successful work?

  • Higher education in accounting, finance or economics.
  • At least 3 years of similar work experience.
  • Practical experience in performing monthly closing processes, performing DK account reconciliations and preparing tax returns.
  • Excellent knowledge of business accounting standards (BAS) and the legislation of the Republic of Lithuania related to accounting and taxes, and the ability to apply them in practice, as well as solid tax fundamentals.
  • Excellent computer skills, especially MS Excel.
  • Strong analytical and logical thinking, the ability to assess the essence of business operations and independently solve problems.
  • The ability to plan work, set priorities and meet deadlines.
  • A high level of responsibility, diligence and independence.
  • The ability to constructively cooperate, communicate clearly and share professional knowledge.

We will consider experience working in a group of companies, participating in audit processes and accounting process automation projects as an advantage.
