Senior Accounting Specialist

NKT Accounting and Financial Control Center in Kaunas is looking for a motivated, curious and goal-oriented Senior Accounting Specialist to join our AR team. You will work in an open, international and team-oriented environment, where your personal career development will be supported not only by your direct manager, but also by the entire management team. The main task of this position is to respond to and take responsibility for customer inquiries in a timely manner and ensure that all documents and information required to process transactions are submitted on time and completed accurately, in accordance with the payment cycle and procedures. In addition, the Senior Accounting Specialist must support, train and develop junior accounting specialists and ensure that they work according to standards; as well as handle customer inquiries in a timely manner and take responsibility for them. Other tasks would include:

• Perform daily AR tasks.
• Ensure that month-end closing tasks are completed in a quality and timely manner.
• Prepare weekly, monthly and annual reports.
• Follow up and implement control actions.
• Provide support to colleagues and internal stakeholders.
• Maintain and provide timely quality information related to audit requests.
• Update and review standard operating procedures.

The candidate should have a degree in accounting, finance, economics or a related field and have 2-3 years of similar work experience. In addition, we hope that:

• You will have a good knowledge of Microsoft Office office tools, especially MS Excel; experience with SAP or similar ERP system would be a strong advantage.
  
• you will have a good knowledge of internal control and risk management mechanisms.
  
• you will be able to communicate effectively and professionally with internal and external customers.
  
• you have audit experience (would be an advantage).
  
• you have strong analytical thinking and attention to detail.
  
• you have excellent problem-solving and problem-solving skills.
  
• you communicate fluently in written and spoken English.

The salary for this position ranges from 2700 EUR to 3100 EUR Gross, the specific salary depends on the candidate's competence and work experience.
