At the NKT Lithuania competence center in Kaunas, we are looking for a curious and goal-oriented senior accounting specialist to join our AP team. NKT Lithuania employs 190 specialists, who are spread across various finance, purchasing and IT teams. What can you expect from this position?
This position requires diligence, accounting knowledge and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. You will be responsible for processing and recording incoming invoices, processing payments, period-end closing procedures related to accounts payable, and working closely with the team leader on projects and continuous improvement activities. You can also expect to receive inquiries and provide accurate reports to internal and external clients or institutions.

- Process incoming invoices and execute payments.
- Year-end closing tasks.
- Analyze payment discrepancies.
- Audit support, data preparation according to auditor requests.
- Training new and junior team members.
- Identify opportunities and initiate process improvements to achieve greater accuracy, financial control and efficiency.
- Deputize for the team leader and perform all other duties related to the position as delegated by the manager.
What do we expect from the candidate?
The candidate should have a degree in accounting, finance, economics or a similar qualification and 3-5 years of experience in accounting, accounts payable or receivable. International experience and knowledge of SAP or similar ERP systems is an advantage.
