You will be responsible for:

  • systemic risk modeling and analysis, improvement of existing modeling methods and search for new methods;
  • stress testing of banks and development of related methodologies;
  • quantitative assessments of the impact of systemic risk and macroprudential policy measures;
  • preparation of analytical materials, conclusions and recommendations on financial stability issues;
  • preparation of analytical insights for publications of the Bank of Lithuania;
  • according to competence - participation in the expert activities of the ECB, ESRB and other international institutions;
  • coordination of team tasks and dissemination of expert knowledge within the team.

What we expect from you:

  • you have a master's degree in economics, finance, mathematics, econometrics, statistics or a related field;
  • you have at least 2 years of professional experience in data science, economic research and/or other quantitative analysis;
  • you have good foundations in quantitative analysis and modeling, you know at least one statistical programming language (R, Python, MATLAB or other) and you are able to work with databases;
  • you are able to critically evaluate and interpret analysis results, clearly present and argue your conclusions, and communicate fluently in Lithuanian and English;
  • you are interested in the functioning of the economy and financial system and want to deepen your knowledge in the areas of financial stability and macroprudential policy;
  • you are analytically curious, independent and proactive, you are able to solve complex problems and work effectively in a team.

We would consider:

  • experience in banking or financial sector analysis, risk modeling, stress testing or other work in the field of financial stability as a great advantage;
  • doctoral studies in economics, finance, econometrics, statistics or another related quantitative field.

We offer you:

  • salary depending on your competencies and experience. DU range: 2900 - 4500 EUR (gross);
