About us:
The IT department of UAB "Agrokoncerno grupė" invites an IT professional to join its team. We are looking for a senior software systems engineer who specializes in backend and will not only develop solutions himself, but also raise the engineering bar for the entire team. You will lead major changes from design to release, mentor colleagues and evaluate their solutions. You will work directly with the architect on system redesign and integrations
What are you going to do:
- You will apply AI tools throughout the development cycle: programming, preparing documentation, creating and maintaining tests
- You will lead larger-scale changes from technical design to release to the production environment
- You will create and improve the functionality of assigned information systems, solve the most complex tasks
- You will prepare technical solution options and coordinate them with the architect
- You will mentor younger colleagues: code reviews, joint work, solution discussions
- You will evaluate colleagues' changes and provide reasonable comments on quality, security and maintainability
- You will write unit and integration tests, monitor their operation in the CI/CD chain
- You will analyze and troubleshoot more complex incidents in the production environment, identify secondary causes and propose systematic solutions
- You will form team engineering standards and best practices
- You will document solutions and systematically transfer knowledge to the team
- You will carry out technical debt reduction work and participate in their prioritization
We hope:
- At least 5 years of software development experience, including at least 2 years of leading larger projects independently
- Deep PHP experience, ideally with Symfony. JavaScript, TypeScript, Python or Java will also be useful.
- Experience with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL)
- Experience in developing integrations: REST, SOAP interfaces, data exchange formats, event streams
- Experience in unit testing practices and CI/CD chains
- Experience in mentoring or technical leadership: code reviews, peer development, standards development
- Excellent knowledge of Lithuanian, daily work with business users and documentation is done in Lithuanian
- Good oral and written English
