Nature of work
- organization of the collection, accounting and management of library information resources;
- preparation and processing of documents, statistical and other reports;
- execution and supervision of accounting of the library fund;
- organization of the acquisition of books and periodicals (needs analysis, coordination of purchases, communication with suppliers and publishers);
- distribution and control of funds allocated for information resources;
- analysis of subscribed publications and submission of proposals;
- analysis of information data in the library system and their management;
- coordination of the processes of management, inventory and write-off of the archival fund;
- preparation of information about new publications in a spreadsheet;
- participation in the preparation of library activity plans and reports;
- cooperation with the academic community and participation in professional activities;
- performance of other tasks related to the functions.
Requirements for candidate (s)
- higher education (in the field of humanities, social sciences or education; an advantage is the field of librarianship);
- work experience in a library (an advantage);
- very good knowledge of the Lithuanian language;
- English language proficiency at least B1 level;
- ability to analyze, systematize information and organize work processes;
- skills in working with information systems and Microsoft Office programs;
- ability to work in a team and independently plan activities;
- responsibility, initiative and orientation towards quality.
