Accountant General

About the role

An international group of IT companies is looking for an experienced Chief Accountant to take full responsibility for the accounting and tax compliance of its Lithuanian entity.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Group Finance team and external auditors, ensuring accurate financial reporting and full compliance with Lithuanian legislation.

Responsibilities

• Full-cycle accounting for a Lithuanian UAB.
  
• Preparation and submission of statutory financial statements.
  
• Preparation and submission of tax returns to VMI.
  
• Payroll accounting and reporting to Sodra.
  
• Monthly and annual closing.
  
• Coordination of external audit.
  
• Communication with tax authorities, banks and auditors.
  
• Monitoring changes in Lithuanian accounting and tax legislation.
  
• Preparation of management reports.
  
• Support of internal finance projects and process improvements.
  

Requirements

• Higher education in Accounting, Finance or Economics.
  
• At least 5 years of experience as a Chief Accountant.
  
• Excellent knowledge of Lithuanian accounting standards (VAS).
  
• Strong knowledge of Lithuanian tax legislation.
  
• Experience with annual audits.
  
• Experience preparing prepared financial statements.
  
• Advanced Excel skills.
  
• Experience with accounting software (Rivilė).

Languages

• Lithuanian - fluent.
  
• Russian - fluent.
  
• English - intermediate or higher.

From 4000 €/mon. gross
Salary is negotiable depending on experience
