Nature of work
We are currently looking for an experienced and responsible Chief Accountant to join our team and contribute to the smooth financial operations of the company.
Primary responsibilities
- Organize, coordinate and control all company accounting in accordance with applicable laws
- Prepare and submit financial, tax and statistical reports to state institutions (VMI, Sodra, Statistics Lithuania)
- Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of VAT, corporate income tax and other tax declarations
- Coordinate payroll calculation, related taxes and payments
- Prepare annual financial statements, cooperate with auditors and banks
- Constantly seek opportunities to improve and automate accounting processes, reducing the volume of manual work
- Other tasks assigned by the Finance Manager
What are we hoping for
- Higher university education in finance, accounting or economics
- At least 3-5 years of work experience in accounting (experience in the position of chief accountant is an advantage)
- Excellent knowledge of the Lithuanian tax system, accounting standards and labor law
- Experience working with accounting programs (Rivile is an advantage)
- Good skills in working with MS Excel
- Responsibility, attention to detail, ability to work independently and organize work
- Initiative in implementing new, more effective work methods
